The recent turmoil in the oil trade is ephemeral and tends to be assimilated by society and the market, like other previous crises. This is the opinion of professor and coordinator of the Center for Petroleum Studies at Unicamp (Cepetro), Saul Suslick, for whom the news about the imminent depletion of fossil fuel reserves is alarmist and unfounded. “Before this happens, society will promote the transition to other sources”, he diagnoses.
