Sebrae - Registration for the Sebrae 2004 Challenge is now open. It is a virtual business administration game that aims to bring entrepreneurial culture to young Brazilians. The challenge: managing a company in a virtual market, with decision-making about cash flow, prices, stocks, industrial plant and market. Registration can be made online until June 11th at the address http://www.desafio.sebrae.com.br. It is aimed at university students from all courses, as long as they are enrolled in institutions recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC). The competition starts on August 2nd.

ECO Award - One of the most traditional Brazilian awards for encouraging corporate social actions, the ECO Award (Company-Community) from the American Chamber of Commerce of São Paulo (Amcham), receives applications from companies, foundations and private sector institutes from across the country to the 15th of June. The award has five categories: Education, Health, Culture, Environment and Community Participation. Projects carried out or supported by private companies of any size, or their foundations and associations throughout Brazil, can participate. young scientist - Registration is now open for the XX Young Scientist Award “Food production - search for solutions to hunger”. They can be made until July 30th. The Young Scientist is divided into three categories: Graduates (for researchers who are under 40 years old); Students (for students on higher education courses who are under 30 years of age) and Institutional Merit (which encourages scientific research in universities, research centers, technical schools or companies). The institution that submits the largest number of works with scientific merit will be awarded R$30. The supervisors of each award-winning young scientist will also receive a computer.
