Pochmann sends
message to the government
The federal government's macroeconomic policy managers need to stop prioritizing just inflation and the primary surplus and implement an employment target. The assessment is made by the municipal secretary of Development, Labor and Solidarity of São Paulo, Marcio Pochmann, professor at the Unicamp Institute of Economics. For the secretary, the recently released deflation shows that the option is compromising the real economy, the productive sector and the creation of new jobs. In the secretary's opinion, unemployment needs to be attacked with the adoption of a series of emergency measures, investment in technological innovation and social programs.
