The limits of transparency

For political scientist Bruno Speck (photo), professor at the Department of Political Sciences at Unicamp and researcher at the NGO Transparência Brasil, public financing of small donations from citizens in electoral campaigns and the creation of mechanisms for monitoring the state apparatus can contribute to a more systemic approach to combating corruption. Speck also defends a reformulation of the CPIs and the rule that punishes parliamentarians for breach of decorum.
