European Union
– “Regional Development and Regional Policy of the European Union” is the topic that will be debated at the round table that will bring together professor Felisberto Reigado, from the University of Beira Interior in Portugal and professor Reinaldo Barcia Fonseca, from the Unicamp Institute of Economics. Didactic Pedagogy - On November 10th, at 9 am, the Pedagogy and Didactics Day: Distance Learning Paradigms will take place in the amphitheater of the Library of the Faculty of Medical Sciences (FCM). The objective is to provide its participants (postgraduate students working in health-related areas) with a multidisciplinary view of distance learning as training for future teaching activities. It is about establishing an innovative teaching model. It has the support of the Medical Pedagogy and Special Didactics discipline. The Journey, aimed at a closed group, will have as speaker Professor Jônatas Manzolli, from the Interdisciplinary Center for Sound Communication (Nics) at Unicamp. He will address the topic “EAD: human-machine interaction”. Manzolli is a researcher in algorithmic composition and sound synthesis for use in nonlinear dynamic systems. He has a PhD in music composition from the University of Nottingham, England. In addition to this talk, debates, a poster session (with prizes for the best) and a mini round table “How to organize a journey” are planned. Ethos/SAE Lecture Series - The Student Support Service (SAE) will hold a series of lectures related to the topic of Social Responsibility. The event has the support of the Ethos Institute. Teenage Forum - Professionals from different areas, adolescents and young people, parliamentarians, representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and students will participate, from November 13th to 16th, in Campinas, in the Brazilian Interdisciplinary Forum for Adolescents (Fibra). Fibra is a promotion of the Brazilian Adolescent Movement (MAB) and the Interdisciplinary Study Group on Human Sexuality (GEISH), at the Faculty of Education (FE). - “Migratology” is the theme of the lecture that professor Hervé Domenach from the Institut de Recherche pour le Developpement (IRD) at the University of Provence (France) will give, on November 17th, at 9:30 am, in the auditorium of the Center for Studies of Population (Nepo).
Ary Barroso
- Students from the Department of Music at Unicamp's Institute of Arts (IA) will perform, on the 17th, in the IA auditorium, starting at 12 noon, a musical show in honor of the 100th anniversary of the birth of composer Ary Barroso, creator of the classic Aquarela do Brasil (1939). The program features exclusive compositions by Ary, who practically invented the samba-canção genre. Among them, works that were successful such as “No tray da baiana”, “Na batucada da vida”, “Camisa Amarela”, “Folha morta”, “Os quindins de Iaiá”, “No ranchofundo” and “Aquarela do Brasil” , with which Ary became internationally known, and which recently gave him the award for “music of the 20th century”. The event features the special participation of two professors from the Institute: Hilton Valente, better known in academia as Gogô, and professor Sara Lopes, former director of the Institute of Arts (IA) at Unicamp. The show is a collective process through which students and teachers work towards the same goal: to bring to the university public a little more of the popular composer's work, in different forms of approaches, traditional or reinterpretations.
Chemical engineering - “Postgraduate: Education, Work and Society” is the theme of the III Research Meeting (EPFEQ), which will be held on the 17th, 18th and 19th of November, starting at 19 pm, in block “D” of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering. The III EPFEQ continues the meeting between postgraduate students and professionals in the field of Chemical Engineering. The event will present works that are being developed or are in the process of being completed in postgraduate studies. The event will feature round tables - made up of professionals working in universities, industries and research centers. The meeting seeks to identify and discuss job opportunities for chemical engineers with postgraduate degrees, as well as address the quality and challenges of research in Chemical Engineering.
