From reform to the praxis of power
In an interview with Jornal da Unicamp, the sociologist and professor Ricardo Antunes, from IFCH, states that the reform will profoundly affect universities and make life more difficult for the salaried population who depend on public services. The government abandoned its link with social causes to obey a financier logic.
The senator Helosa Helena, who participated in a debate at Adunicamp, promises to face the government and its supporters in the vote on the reform in the Senate. The battle is not lost, said the senator, adding that she will fight to change the transition rule and the parity of civil service pensions.
Teacher Study Claudius Salvadori Dedecca, from the Unicamp Institute of Economics, reveals that the pension reform will affect public policies in the areas of health, security and education. The work shows that salaries in the public sector, in the areas of planning and control, are lower than those in the private sector.
