Unicamp's XII Internal Scientific Initiation Congress, which will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of September, at the Multidisciplinary Gymnasium, will bring together 905 works developed by undergraduate students, a number 43% higher than that recorded in the last edition. For the Vice-Rector of Research, Professor Fernando Ferreira Costa, the increase in the total number of projects presented reveals Unicamp's vigor in an area he considers strategic and leader-training.

In 1968, physicist Rubens Murillo Marques (second on the left, in the photo on the side) proposed to the then rector Zeferino Vaz (center) that the Computer Science course be created, the first of its kind in the country. Unicamp tests medicine against multiple sclerosis
