| Descrição Projeto | We propose an experimental investigation of Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS) in silica micro-spheres coated with a nanometric Al2O3film. The addition of a hybrid material interface provides anadditional degree of freedom to tailor the SBS interaction. Moreover, the effect of a softer-harder interfaceon acoustic whispering gallery modes has not been extensively explored, demanding both analytical andnumerical investigation.
