The Journal of Art History and Archaeology is published by the Center of Art History and Archaeology (Campinas State University). The main aim of the Journal is to promote a broader development in Brazil of both art history and archaeology, putting them in close contact with an international production in these fields. It is also the first Brazilian Journal dealing with both disciplines in a related way.

The Journal aims at publishing papers by Brazilian and foreign scholars about any subject within the scope of art history and archaeology, as well as at addressing a learned and interested larger audience. the publication of papers in two languages, Portuguese and English, French, Italian, Spanish or German will enable Brazilian and foreign readers to be acquainted with the papers. documents and reference texts, still unavailable in Portuguese, reviews and news are also included.
